These books along with the boxed set "The Little Blue Box of Bright and Early Board Books" by Dr. Seuss, arrived on time and my grandson and I are delighted. I might be a bit biased since I read these books when I was a child and they bring back memories of my childhood.The books are made of hard thick cardboard and I just know that they will last a long time. At least I feel confident that they will last long enough for the next few grandchildren.

Since giving this little set of books to my two-year old granddaughter, she has spent a lot of hours sitting in my lap and having me read them to her, one after the other. And now she uses the little box they came in to tote around her crayons. It has been months since I got this set of books, and they're still a favorite :)

High quality, sturdy books. The box and books were little smaller than I was expecting, but overall, I'm pleased with purchase.

Exactly what I've been looking for! Great for baby to hold or interact with while you read to them. Will buy more of the sets.

My 2 year old son loves for me to read to him. We have quite a collection of toddler books but he loves these 4 little books and selects them daily for me to read to him.

I don't have much to offer here except that this wasn't my favorite set of the two I bought. I really only liked the Words I'll Teach My Dog A Lot of Words book and the Go Dogs Go book. I didn't care much for the other two in the this box set. Just my opinion but really had a little difficulty reading it with the fun flow that is carried out in the other two. I almost deducted another star because these little board books DO NOT stand up to any amount of chewing or slobber so if you leave your little teether alone with them they might actually eat the little book!

These are such great books for little hands. My grandson just turned 1. Both mommy and daddy are teachers and read to him regularly. These are small and well made for young children!

My 4 year old loves these books, and despite being the abridged versions, keep her entertained.

This is so much fun. I noticed that a lot of reviews mention that their kids didn't like it or were not able to use it. They may not be able to, I would recommend it more for adults. You will require the use of sharp blades to cut the parts out and there are occasionally some small parts.In essence though, as an adult, these were so much fun to make and I absolutely loved it. So did my boyfriend, whose idea it was.

Full of fun. Provides the basics of mechanical paper craft. Would be great for teaching children some of the physics of motion. Has ten basic models and lots of examples of designs using these done by the author and even more by high school students. Excellent chapter on how this form of mechanics paper craft works.Interesting even if you don't make anything. Over half the book is made of pages to cut out and assemble. Lots of Fun.

I enjoyed making the models in the book for my family, particularly my granddaughter. The illustrations for assembly are very clear with few exceptions and everything turned out well. The models perform as described. The level of aptitude needed is low enough for most ten-year olds, I think.

In depth book with science of and how to build robotic origami. Lots of pics and blank templates. Really fun. My 12 year old loves the book.

This is one of the best paper model books I've come across. The projects each have very clear instructions, demonstrating different gear & crank techniques. The paper quality is great. Highly recommended!

Oaxaca is the home for some of the worlds best food. This book has a lot of great recipes, including some moles which I can't wait to make. There is a nice narrative about the region, people, ingredients, and of course cooking. This is a must have for any person wanting to venture out and try a different cuisine. One of my favorite cookbooks for sure. These aren't 30 minute meal recipes, but if you love to cook, and have some time, this is a great book.Update: Made the Mole Negro de Oaxaca, though a bit time consuming, definitely worth it! It was the best mole I have ever eaten, and I am a mole lover! Most ingredients are readily available at the store.

I was very excited to get this book because my family is Oaxacan and I grew up in America learning about my culture and never really knowing how to cook the food because my mother was from the united states and only knew how to cook certain mexican dishes. I got this book to start learning traditional foods and though it has some of them I wish they had pictures of the food as well. I have tried some of there desserts in the book and so far so good.

Rich in content and gorgeous photography, this book captures the best of the food and culture of beautiful Oaxaca. A favorite escape on a winter New England day in the kitchen!

Normally I love quality photographs in cookbooks, which this book is lacking. I am thrilled that they have page after page of authentic recipes. What it lacks in the photos it more than makes up for it in the recipes. Great book!

These are beautiful manuscripts from Russian art/icons. The Russian iconigraphers created many of these selections for specific churches and monasteries and therefore were not available to the general populace. Ms. Popova, however, has made them available to us and the world. She explains the illustrations from both an hisorical and artistic viewpoint. Although some of the selections have been damaged or eroded over the years, their importance remains the same. Join Ms. Popova on a trip thru history and appreciate art that was created a thousand or more years ago.

I was looking for inspiration for a children's book I am illustrating. I realize that the images in the book are about 1000 years old, however, the quality of the some of the images was sometimes so spotty it was impossible to get a sense of the design. All in all, short of traveling to Russia, it would have been impossible to find a collection of so many examples in one place, so it was a good starting point.
