This book did not disappoint, and it does some truly remarkable things. The first accomplishment is that it brings the brilliant work of Napoleon Hill "down to Earth". One thing that I always hear from friends and family to whom I recommend Hill's book is that they feel the language is a bit hard to understand and the examples are outdated. The brilliance of Horowitz's writing here is that he not only "translates" Hill's way of speaking into something palatable and easily understandable to today's audience, but he transforms Hill's lessons and methods into exciting, fresh ideas.As a lifelong student of the occult, spirituality, and the studies of manifestation (New Thought, positive thinking, and the Law of Attraction), I was almost shocked at how much I was able to learn from "The Miracle of a Definite Chief Aim". Horowitz gets straight to the point when it comes to making Hill's work understandable and exciting for today's audience. This book contradicts "Think And Grow Rich" in various ways.One of the most appalling is when the author not only admits that he "doesn't have what you would call 'faith'", but then goes on to say that its okay to replace the word "faith" with "persistence" when reading anything written by Napoleon Hill.The author does have some interesting things to say about deciding what you want out of life, but there are other books that not only do it in better and more informative ways, but also do not call themselves "Part of The Napoleon Hill Success Course" and then go on to undermine Napoleon Hill's material and system.
